The telephone line is staffed by specialist psychologists and operates every day, 24 hours a day. Upon receiving the call, depending on the specifics of the case, psychologists perform initial/crisis counseling to help the person manage the emotion of the trauma and articulate a need. Depending on the needs of the client and the region they are calling from, clients are referred to Alliance member organizations for future work with clients to overcome the trauma of violence. The line also has a Facebook page, where help can also be sought by sending a message via messenger
